The Best Face Wash For African American Skin

With so many shades and skin types ranging from sandy caramel to deep velvety chocolate, African American skin requires a unique type of product for our melanin enriched skin! Simply put, melanated skin requires a different approach - products formulated to cleanse the face effectively.

Many facial cleansers on the markets can over cleanse your skin, stripping away the skin’s natural lipid barrier and removing natural oils. If you’ve ever heard of the statement “Black Don’t Crack,” it’s because of those natural oils. The natural oils found on the surface African American skin is nature’s way of preserving our melanin and giving us an enviable glow.

A gentle but cleansing face wash for African American skin, will help clean the skin but keep those natural oils in place. You don’t need a squeaky clean feeling on your face after you’ve cleansed.

Our recommendation - Buttah Skin’s Gentle Face Wash. It is formulated by actor - Dorion Renaud - after battling acne and hyperpigmentation (dark spots) for many years of using skincare products that weren’t made with his skincare concerns in mind. He noticed how much better his skin and less dry and irritated his skin would feel after using his face wash.

Face Wash For Darker Skintones

The Buttah Skin Face Wash gently lifts away dirt, oil, debris, and dead surface cells combating dullness, irritation, and discoloration. Soothing Coconut and Palm Oils and Lavender Flower Extract condition and calm your complexion, leaving your skin smooth, hydrated and healthy. It won’t clog your pores, dry your skin out, or irritate your skin. It does exactly what it says it does - gently cleanses.

Due to the sensitivity of black skin, fewer chemicals means less irritation, which also means more glow. Our Buttah Skin Cleanser includes:

  • Lavender Flower Extract: Calms irritation and helps reduces inflammation
  • Disodium Cocoamphodiacetate: Naturally derived from coconut oil – gently cleanses and conditions
  • Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate: Naturally derived from coconut and palm oils. It’s a safe, balancing cleanser that softly lathers and rinses clean, without doing the most.
  • Citric Acid: A gentle exfoliator that removes dull skin cells and makes way for the new glowy skin underneath

Using a gentle face wash product can help African American skin glow, brighten, and even out. Avoid harsh chemicals as well as adding a daily gentle cleanser to your daily routine. Try our Buttah Face Wash for your skin’s glow up.

I have always and still to the day, had acne and hyperpigmentation issues. Im 48 years old and have only seen my skin on my face clear 4 times in my life. Im hoping and praying that this product will be the last and only product I ever use again. Stay tuned for my 30 day update.

I ordered the set, but the confirmation page never popped up, but It was processing but never went through. The money was taken off my card does that mean it’s still coming?

I would like to know which product would work on lightening up dark spots under your eye and a little on your cheek. I don’t have real dark spots, but I would love for those to blend in. Looking forward to hearing back from your company with a suggestion of products to use.
Thank you.
